9-10mm Keshi Baroque Cultured Freshwater Pearl Necklace, 38+5cm long

The cultivation process of these pearls is also very special. To cultivate traditional pearls, a piece of tissue from the mantle of a donor mussel is included in a mussel and returned to the water so that it is surrounded by nacre and creates a pearl, two years later when it is removed from the water to extract the pearls it has created, on some occasions, if the pearls obtained are of good quality, the mussel is closed again and returned to the water for another long period, but this time without including any nucleus. As the pearl bag was already formed in the first occasion, the mussel continues to generate nacre, which gives rise to a wonderful Keshi freshwater pearl.
