What is Gold Vermeil?
For a jewel to be considered Gold Vermeil, it must meet two conditions, that the base metal is Sterling Silver and that it is plated with a layer of gold of more than 2,5 microns. It is also sometimes known as Silver Vermeil.
It is ideal for people with allergies to materials such as nickel, since they can wear these jewels without any problem, since they are only made up of these two noble metals.
